Gourdon, France

Gourdon is officially recognised as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France, proudly listed among the Plus Beaux Villages, and is considered one of the most scenic and touristic spots in the region. Perched dramatically at an altitude of around 760 metres, the village sits high above the surrounding countryside, offering a truly striking setting. Gourdon is filled with charming little boutiques, many of which specialise in perfume products, handcrafted items, and local souvenirs, adding to its traditional and artistic appeal. As you walk through its narrow stone streets, the atmosphere feels timeless, shaped by medieval architecture and carefully preserved heritage. What truly sets Gourdon apart are its breathtaking panoramic views, stretching from the foothills of the Alps all the way across the coastline, creating one of the most magnificent viewpoints in southern France.
